The 35- to 45-hp tandem scroll compressors are for commercial air conditioning systems and are configured with Copeland Scroll™ compressors. The 35-hp tandem unit combines a 15- and a 20-hp compressor, while the 45-hp tandem is composed of one 20- and one 25-hp compressor. These tandem scroll compressors are designed to use R-410A. According to the manufacturer, these tandem compressors are ideal for systems where the capacity demand is too large for a single compressor, such as chillers and rooftop equipment.
