MoreYORK, PA — Delegates and visitors to last week’s Republican National Convention in Philadelphia were kept cool by air conditioning equipment built here by York International Corp.
Supplemental cooling during convention week at the Philadelphia Convention Center, home to “PoliticalFest — Where the Party Begins” through Aug. 3, were provided by two 450-ton chillers.
In addition, Ransome Engine, a division of Giles and Ransome, Bensalem, PA, the region’s Caterpillar engine dealer, was responsible for supplying a back-up electrical power system (25,000-kW capacity) at First Union Center.
