Contractors To Discuss Trends

CHICAGO — Top contractors from across America will discuss “The Future of Buildings and the People Who Install Mechanical Systems” at a free seminar at 9 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 28, Room 101B, at McCormick Place, as part of the Air-Conditioning, Heating, Refrigerating Expo. Issues to be discussed include mold and insurance, design trends, delivery processes, and the role of contractors and general contractors in construction relationships. Discussion will include the opportunities and the potential pitfalls for contractors installing and servicing equipment in commercial and residential buildings.

Contractors on the panel will include Jim Hussey, chairman of the board of the Air Conditioning Contractors of America (ACCA) and president of Marina Mechanical, San Leandro, Calif.; Dan Thayer, president of Thayer Corporation, Auburn, Maine; Dave Sigler, mechanical construction coordinator, Pepper Construction, Chicago; Bob Wasniewski, co-owner of Roberts Environmental Control Corp., Tinley Park, Ill.
