Four members of the Lake and McHenry Plumbing, Heating & Cooling Contractors Association (Downers Grove, Ill.) have won its "Commitment to a Safe Workplace" award for 2003. The award recognizes improvements in categories such as lost workdays and workers' compensation resolutions. The winners were Colette & Ano Plumbing Co. Inc. (Antioch), Dankris Industries Inc. (McHenry), Ernie Peterson Plumbing (Waukegan), and Sherman Mechanical Inc. (Cary), all of Illinois.
Hentkowski Inc. (Wilmington, Del.) has had all of its service and installation technicians certified by North American Technician Excellence (NATE), earning what NATE says is only the second 100-percent certification compliance certificate ever awarded. John Hentkowski accepted the certificate on behalf of his company at a meeting of the Independent Heating and Cooling Council (Wilmington).
