The idea for the kiosk station came from Steve Mullins of Complete Comfort. According to Mullins, a prototype was developed within a three-month span after he had the idea, with most of the time focused on the functionality of the design and ease of use of the software.
“The home buyer often is not aware of what our industry has to offer,” he said. With the interactive DVD, the customer is able to view equipment upgrades and options, listen to live narrations of benefits, get pricing, and obtain a packet of information from the kiosk storage cabinet for later review. The intent, said Mullins, is to “assist the buyer in making an informed decision.”
Complete Comfort plans to place a kiosk station with all of its major home builders.
