Merchant receipts are transmitted to secure servers for storage and retrieval; the credit card transactions are posted in real time to the merchant’s account in a secure, restricted-access area on the manufacturer’s website, states the company. Storing receipts in an electronic format using the Mobile-Scape™ system cuts out the need of storing paper receipts, as required by IRS regulations and credit card issue policies. The receipt, with the customer’s signature, is archived and stored for seven years. Wireless eCheck™ capabilities allow for real-time check authorization and clearing at the point of sale.
