Sizes 026, 038, 049, and 064 of the Tranquility® (TAC) cased air coil series are now available. The indoor coils are designed and matched for use with Tranquility indoor and outdoor geothermal split systems. According to the manufacturer, by using EarthPure® HFC-410A refrigerant, the air coil exceeds federal requirements for the 30 percent tax credit on installation costs when paired with the Tranquility split unit; when paired with a split, the TAC exceeds ASHRAE 90.1 and Energy Star 3.0 efficiencies. The series is available in vertical upflow or downflow and horizontal-left or -right airflow. The air coil easily connects to an existing fossil fuel furnace and has large, removable access panels for serviceability. Installation advantages include bidirectional thermal expansion valves and full convertibility. Options on the TAC are an electronic thermostat or auto-changeover thermostat with three-stage heat, two-stage cool, and indicator LEDs. A 10-year limited labor allowance is also offered.
