PITTSTON, Pa. - Clarcor Inc. dedicated its new manufacturing and distribution center located at 1001 Sathers Drive, Grimes Industrial Park. The 249,600-square-foot manufacturing and distribution facility employs 25 and anticipates employing 100 over the next six months. The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania is supporting Clarcor Air’s $4 million expansion into Pennsylvania through a series of investments including grants, loans, and tax credits that total more than $1.6 million.

Members of the business community toured the facility and presentations were made by Stephen Yokimishyn, regional director, Governor’s Action Team, Northeast Regional Office; and by multiple members of Clarcor Inc.’s staff, including: David White, marketing manager; Dan Newman, plant manager; Kevin Bush, senior vice president of operations; and Norman E. Johnson, chairman, president, and CEO.

“On behalf of Governor Edward G. Rendell, I am pleased to say that working with Clarcor to make this project a reality is just one example of the success the commonwealth has had in recruiting new business and industry to northeast Pennsylvania,” said Yokimishyn. “We welcome Clarcor as a new tenant to Pittston, bringing great jobs and new opportunities to our region.”

“The investment we are making with this facility, along with major investments in automation and state-of-the-art production equipment and facilities, will make this plant the most technically advanced air filtration manufacturer and distribution center in the HVAC filter industry,” said Johnson. “The establishment of this new facility is for the sole purpose of better serving our Airguard and Purolator Air Filtration customers in the Northeast region of North America.”
