CINCINNATI, OH — The United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) recently awarded the Energy StarÒ Label for Buildings to the Cincinnati commercial sales office of Trane. The Energy Star label signifies that the new 45,000-sq-ft building has demonstrated excellent energy performance, earning it a place in the top 25% of efficient U.S. office buildings.

John Conover, Trane Cincinnati district manager, said, “We set out to create an environment conducive to our business processes and occupant comfort. Attaining this level of efficiency was a welcome bonus.

“According to recently published statistics, average building utility cost in the Cincinnati area is $1.21 per sq ft. Our new building costs $1.00 per sq ft, per year, to operate — at museum conditions.”
