ChromaStar™ is a new line of 21 infrared heaters that provide localized temperature control where conduction or convection heating is impractical, the company says. Optional safety features include tip-over switches, a ground fault detector, and a power disconnect. The assemblies are available with power ratings from 1.5 to 13.5 kW and wired for single- or three-phase power from 120 to 600 vac. The housings are made of extruded aluminum and a built-in mirrored reflector. The units feature a patent-pending “Arctic End” element terminal construction that lowers the terminal box temperature, says the company. These radiant heaters can be mounted in a fixed location or onto an optional cart.
