The Slimline RSR (Roomside Replaceable) is a ducted ceiling module that is designed to deliver clean air to hospital operating rooms and other health care spaces. According to the manufacturer, the module has particle-capturing efficiencies of up to 99.9995% of particles that are 0.1 microns in size. Two kinds of filters are offered: HEPA (99.99% at 0.3 micron) and ULPA (99.9995% at 0.1 micron). Both of the filters use a mini-pleat design for low pressure drop and a gel seal to ensure a leak-free assembly, states the company. For serviceability, the module is designed so adjustments or other servicing can be done from inside the operating suite. It is available for either T-bar or gypsum-type installations.
