Bristol Launches Training Program

BRISTOL, Va. - Bristol Compressors' new training program for dealers and contractors offers classes designed to keep technicians up to date on the latest product innovations and solutions, the company said. Successful completion of the program qualifies as two hours of North American Technician Excellence (NATE) continuing education credit.

"The HVAC industry is rapidly changing. Technology continues to improve as the government issues new rules and regulations, especially the new 13 SEER requirements," said Barry Rust of Bristol Compressors. "This training seminar offers a straightforward, common-sense approach to understanding the most modern technology, tools, and techniques in the HVAC industry."

The program begins with an overview of the latest R&D in compressor technology, including field analysis and reliability studies. Instructors will also cover mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, compressor changeout procedures, and computer training (including the use of the Internet tools and Web-based cross-reference engines to identify problems and find solutions).

At the end of the program, dealers and contractors will receive a certificate to submit to NATE for two hours of continuing education credit. NATE-certified technicians are required to participate in 30 hours of continuing education every 60 months to maintain their certification.
