The new NxGen Infinity II™ scroll compressor is more compact, quieter, and more reliable than traditional scroll designs, says the company. The unit’s part count was reduced by 36%, significantly simplifying the design. The unit generates less than half the sound of other scroll compressors, the company says. It is up to 2 in. shorter than other scrolls. The reduction in parts reduces the number of components that can fail. The new design also eliminates all threaded fasteners, eliminating a common point of failure.
