Seven new models have been added to the VSX® line of double suction, vertical split-case pumps, increasing the line to a total of 43 models and sizes. The new pump models increase VSX capacities to 28,000 gallons per minute, and include four new sizes from 12x14x22A to 18x20x22A, using 1,250- to 3,000-horsepower motors at 1,780 revolutions per minute. Balanced cartridge mechanical seals are included as standard on all models. The new models also include three new VSX Steep Head models. The pumps are available in three flange configurations: VSC (top suction, top discharge flanges), VSCS (side suction, top discharge flanges), and VSH (side suction, side-discharge flanges). They come with alignment-friendly couplers as standard. The pumps feature a groutless base plate, plug-and-play capabilities, and hydraulic matching of the pump’s impeller and casing by utilizing Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD).
