DALLAS — Lennox International Inc. has sold the assets of its Electrical Products Division (EPD) business, part of its Advanced Distributor Products division, to Emerson. Financial details were not disclosed.

Based in Murfreesboro, Tenn., EPD produces open coil heating elements used primarily in residential and commercial HVAC applications. EPD supplies various HVAC manufacturers, including Lennox subsidiary companies.

"This transaction is a continuation of our previously stated strategy to focus all of our efforts on our three core businesses — heating and cooling equipment; Service Experts, our retail sales and service division; and global refrigeration," stated Bob Schjerven, chief executive officer, Lennox International.
