Aug. 26, 2003: PHCC Offers Payment-Processing Program

FALLS CHURCH, Va. — The Plumbing-Heating-Cooling Contractors—National Association (PHCC) has announced a new member benefit through Bank of America to provide members with a payment-processing program for their businesses. According to the association, this program will allow contractor members to save money on transaction fees and rising processing rates when accepting credit card payments from their customers.

Through this new partnership, contractors will receive the wholesale processing rate of 2.10 percent plus 10 cents for all key-entered transactions. Other benefits, says PHCC, include:

  • No annual membership fees;

  • No leases or equipment deposits;

  • 24-hour, seven-day-a-week customer service help;

  • Free paper, ribbons, and supplies delivered free of charge;

  • Reasonable equipment or purchase options;

  • Funds settled directly into bank account within 48 hours; and

  • Fees withdrawn at month-end, not weekly or daily.

    "We are pleased to partner with Bank of America to offer our members another business solution that will save them money and help grow their business. As one of the largest financial institutions in the country, members can expect competitive rates and excellent customer service," said Eddie Hollub, president of PHCC.
