Associations for the Week: October 1, 2001

  • The Sheet Metal and Air Conditioning Contractors’ National Association (SMACNA) (Chantilly, VA) has awarded its 2001 Women for Construction Scholarship to Christopher M. Wozniak. The scholarship provides $1,200 per academic year for four years.
  • Construction Contractors Alliance (CCA) (Falls Church, VA), an enhanced service group of the Plumbing-Heating-Cooling Contractors — National Association (PHCC), will hold its winter 2002 meeting in San Antonio, TX from February 6-8, 2002. The theme for the meeting will be “Education Spotlight.”
  • The National Air Filtration Association (NAFA) (Washington, DC) has awarded two facilities the 2001 Clean Air Award. The award is presented to facilities that have excelled in the area of air filtration and healthy environments. This year’s winners are Baptist Memorial Hospital (Memphis, TN) and the Geo Quest Center(Houston, TX).
