  • The Sheet Metal and Air Conditioning Contractors’ National Association (SMACNA) (Chantilly, VA) has made available more than 550 symbols and drawings found in the “SMACNA CAD Standard.” They can be downloaded free of charge at www.smacna.org (website) and can be used with CAD drafting systems.
  • The Air Movement and Control Association International, Inc. (AMCA) (Arlington Heights, IL) has revised its Publication 801-01, “Industrial Process/ Power Generation Fans: Specification Guidelines.” To order the publication, call 847-394-0404 or go to www.amca.org (website).
  • The Air Movement and Control Association International, Inc. (AMCA) (Arlington Heights, IL), has elected new officers. Lance Nailor will serve as president of the organization. R. Arnold Robb has been named chair of the board, W.T.W. Cory will serve as vice president, Thomas R. Edwards will serve as treasurer, and Lee E. Buddrus will serve as director at large on the executive committee.
  • North American Technician Excellence (NATE) (McLean, VA) has received permission from Lennox to use the image of Dave Lennox to advertise and promote NATE Certification.
