  • The Standards Engineering Society (SES) presented awards at its annual conference. James Thomas received the Leo B. Moore Medal; Nicholas Carino received the Robert J. Painter Memorial Award; and Diane Thompson was awarded the Lorne K. Wagner Memorial Award.

  • The Refrigeration Service Engineers Society (RSES) will hold its annual conference Sept. 27-Oct. 1, 2005, in Atlanta. The theme of the conference will be, "The Peach Will Teach."

  • David Bessette was named president of the National Association of Oil Heating Service Managers (NAOHSM) at the association's annual convention. The association also named John Wilcox, John Griffin, James Falconi, and Dorsey Finn Jr. as vice presidents. Michael Szentesy was named treasurer.
