  • The newly organized California state chapter of the Air Conditioning Contractors of America (CalACCA) will hold its first-ever statewide meeting on March 12, 2003 in Palm Springs, California. For more information on the event, go to www.calacca.org.

  • The National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) (Quincy, Mass.) now offers the Certified Building Inspector (CBI) and its Certified Building Plans Examiner (CBPE) exams. The organization said the purpose of the certification is to be able to enforce the NFPA 5000™, Building Construction and Safety Code™. For more information, visit www.nfpa.org/certification.
