Carl Triphahn, executive director of the Piping Industry Progress and Education Trust Fund (Phoenix, AZ), has been elected international president of the American Society of Sanitary Engineering (ASSE).
The National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER) (Gainesville, FL) has elected David Bush, president of Adena Corp. (Mansfield, OH), as its 2002 board of trustees chairman. Several Air Movement and Control Association International (AMCA) (Arlington Heights, IL) standards are available for public comment until Feb. 26, 2002. The standards include AMCA 99-0021, “The Fan Laws”; AMCA 99-2412, “Impeller Diameters and Outlet Areas for Centrifugal Fans”; and AMCA 99-3001, “Dimensions for Axial Fans.” For a complete list of standards up for review, visit www.amca.org (website).
During October and November, members of the Air Conditioning Contractors of Arizona participated in its first annual food drive to benefit the St. Vincent de Paul Food Bank. Members and staff donated approximately 900 lb of nonperishable food to the organization.
