• The National Air Duct Cleaners Association’s (NADCA’s) board of directors approved an initiative to pursue accreditation as a standards developer through the American National Standards Institute (ANSI).

Mechanical Service Contractors of America (MSCA) launched a Website (www.projecthomeagain.com) dedicated to Project Home Again, MSCA’s missing children program.

• The World Plumbing Council (WPC) awarded Phil Campbell (Las Vegas) with a $7,500 scholarship.

• The American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) extended its submission deadline to Jan. 15, 2007, for speakers interested in presenting at its IAQ 2007: Healthy and Sustainable buildings conference.

• The American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) International elected Paul Shipp, Ph.D., P.E., to its board of directors.
