ARLINGTON, VA — Two updated standards are available for free download from the Air-Conditioning and Refrigeration Institute (ARI). Standard 730-2001, “Flow-Capacity Rating and Application of Suction-Line Filters and Filter-Driers,” and Standard 750-2001, “Thermostatic Refrigerant Expansion Valves,” can be found atwww.ari.org(website) as part of ARI’s online service that now features free downloads.

Standard 730-2001 applies to suction-line filters and suction-line filter driers. Standard 750-2001 applies to thermostatic refrigerant expansion valves for use with R-12, -22, -502, -124a, -407c, and -507 at evaporator temperatures between 50 degrees F (10 degrees C) and –40 degrees F (-40 degrees C).
