The Model 4000 air cleaner features a MERV 13 filter. The patented Air Cleaner Control gives homeowners the visibility and control when it comes to actively managing their indoor environments. Homeowners can clean the air based on personal preference and event triggers. In the Constant Cleaning mode, the air cleaner is active 24 hours a day, seven days a week. In the Automatic mode, the air cleaner will run a minimum of 30 minutes per hour. The Event Clean mode makes the air cleaner run for three hours continuously and then turns it off. When in Allergies mode, the air cleaner will run continuously for 24 hours and then turn off. Installed next to the thermostat or on the air-cleaning unit, the control also provides validation the air cleaner is working by indicating, through a sequence of bars that rise, when the blower on the heating and cooling system is energized. It also indicates when the filter needs to be replaced based on blower run time. Features of the air cleaner include Self Seal™ media, which reduces air bypass and self-sealing pleats, so that no pleat spacers are required.
