According to the association, this expanded 496-page PDF emphasizes increased quality control for detailing and the expansion of model specifications for designers. A primer on metal application and specifications, it provides a comprehensive set of recommended practices for proper design and installation of custom-fabricated architectural sheet metal, says SMACNA. A new historical restoration section plus commentary on oil canning is also included.
