April 5, 2011: NAOHSM Offers Train-the-Trainer Program

EAST PETERSBURG, Pa. - The National Association of Oilheating Service Managers (NAOHSM) has announced the 2011 schedule for its Train-the-Trainer program.

NAOHSM has been delivering Penn State management classes for a number of years. This 2½-day program includes a special Train-the-Trainer class that has been extremely popular. The reaction to the Train-the-Trainer course at Penn State spurred NAOHSM to create an entire program around the Train-the-Trainer concept.

Since the Train-the-Trainer program was born, NAOHSM has offered several one-day courses around a different topic each year. This year, Carol Fey, a well known industry expert, will deliver classes on the topic of Basic Electricity. Carol is a degreed, technical trainer who has worked in the controls industry for over 25 years. The American Society for Training and Development named her National Technical Trainer of the Year. She has also written several books – Quick & Basic Electricity, Quick & Basic Hydronic Controls, and Quick and Basic Troubleshooting. (Visit www.carolfey.com for more information.)

During this Basic Electricity course, trainers will gain practice, learn ways to design props to enhance their training skills, explore ways to better explain wiring diagrams to their audience, and learn techniques about wiring and working with 24-volt electrical connections.

Classes will be held on April 19 in Baltimore; April 20 at Stevens Technical College in Lancaster, Pa.; April 22 in Pennsauken, N.J.; July 26 in Concord, N.H.; July 27 in Auburn, Mass.; and July 28 in Cromwell, Conn.

Another Penn State-delivered, 2½-day workshop will be held at the ICPA School in Cromwell, Conn., from June 21-23.

To register for any of these classes, visit www.naohsm.org or contact 888-552-0900.
