April 27, 2005: Workforce Innovations 2005 To Address Workforce Needs

WASHINGTON - Workforce Innovations 2005, to be held in Philadelphia, July 11-13, 2005, is an employment and training conference sponsored by the U.S. Department of Labor's (DOL's) Employment and Training Administration and co-sponsored by the American Society for Training & Development (ASTD). The program brings together over 2,500 workforce investment leaders, business executives, education policy makers, and others to discuss national workforce development issues.

The conference includes speakers from the public and private sectors, workshops, interactive town hall meetings, and over 100 exhibits.

The Mechanical Contractors Association of America (MCAA) notes that is has collaborated with DOL on the nationwide outreach to the construction industry to address its workforce development needs.
