April 22, 2010: Blue Hawk, Embassy, and Imark Form Alliance

CHICAGO - Three distributor cooperatives have formed the United Cooperative Alliance of America. Blue Hawk, Embassy Group Ltd., and Imark Group, which respectively serve the HVACR, plumbing, and electrical industries, said they created the alliance to help attract and retain the best membership for each group’s verticals and to enhance the cooperative model for the benefit of all members.

The newly formed alliance has a board of advisors consisting of two board members from each organization along with the three respective presidents/CEOs. All three organizations in the alliance are member owned and governed, and committed to full disclosure of all financial and directional issues to their members.

Blue Hawk was established in 2005 as a cooperative of independent HVACR distributors throughout the United States. It focuses on HVACR distributors serving the residential and commercial markets and has 224 members with over 1,000 branch locations. Blue Hawk is supported by 109 supplier partners.

Embassy is a 67-member cooperative of independent plumbing distributors with over 500 branch locations. Imark is a cooperative of independent electrical distributors with over 1,000 members and over 2,000 branch locations.
