The Adaptaire DDC system provides adaptive control of outside air cfm to match the safety requirements of ANSI Standard Z83.18. This unit is designed for all of the company’s direct gas-fired heating equipment that uses return air. By constantly measuring airflow with its flow-measuring station, the system can adjust to the current conditions, such as filter loading or pressure changes in the building, the company states. It self-calibrates daily to ensure a clean baseline for outside air cfm each day. The unit accumulates total run time, burner operating hours, burner starts, fan starts, and other data that can be used for diagnostic or planned maintenance programs. Adaptaire is compatible with BACnet and can be configured for up to four other communication protocols.
