George Jones, an HVAC installer with Gunlach Plumbing and Heating in Richmond, Va., won a flat panel HDTV in Emerson Climate Technologies’ White-Rodgers Switch to Mercury-Free Thermostats drawing. “The purpose of the Switch to Mercury-Free Thermostats promotion was to create awareness among property managers and supervisors about the ease of switching to mercury-free mechanical and digital thermostats,” said Geoff Godwin, vice-president of marketing for White-Rodgers. “When we called George with the good news, we were pleased to find out that he already uses White-Rodgers thermostats and at 83 years young, George is still on the job installing equipment and controls.”
