Along with IER Industries, the company has developed a new EPDM sealing core. The core utilizes a dual-durometer, which incorporates the bonding of two different EPDM formulas to make the core. The bottom of the core, closest to the flow, is a slightly softer compound, ensuring maximum sealing protection, while exposed to lower system pressures. The upper part of the core is composed of a stiffer compound that ensures sealing protection at higher system pressures. The core is installed in all of the company's pressure-temperature test plugs. Two sizes - 1/4 and 1/2 inch - are available, in both standard and extended lengths. The test plugs, which can be applied throughout a hydronic system, have pre-applied Teflon sealant.
