This commercial UV germicidal lamp is Teflon®-encapsulated. According to the company, the fluoropolymer encapsulate covers and seals a mercury vapor UVC lamp, so that if breakage occurs, all components are completely contained. The company says the encapsulate material was selected because of its high UV transmittance and excellent temperature resistance. The shatter-protected lamps also promote high-end safety and environmental awareness, says the company.
