ACCA Survey Affirms Fair Competition

ARLINGTON, VA — Results from a legislative survey conducted by the Air Conditioning Contractors of America (ACCA) reveal that the number one concern of members remains the issue of fair competition with electric and gas utilities. Regardless of size or specialization, ACCA members said their top concern among the 17 listed was pursuing federal legislation preventing utilities from using their status to gain an unfair advantage against hvacr contractors.

The second-highest ranking concern was the need for trained technicians, followed by opposition to the OSHA ergonomics standard passed in November and the repeal of the estate tax. For complete survey results, visit ACCA’s website at www.acca.org.
