ACCA Program Teaches Load Calculation

ARLINGTON, VA — As part of its Educational Program for Instructor Certification (EPIC), the Air Conditioning Contractors of America (ACCA) will offer two courses. The residential EPIC will be offered Sept. 10-13, and the commercial EPIC is scheduled for Oct. 22-25. The courses will be held at Lennox Industries’ facility in Grove City, OH.

The instructor for both EPIC courses is ACCA technical consultant Hank Rutkowski, P.E., who is the author of several ACCA manuals, including Manual J (Residential Load Calculation), Manual D (Residential Duct Systems), and Manual S (Residential Equipment Selection).

According to ACCA, EPIC maximizes the understanding and use of ACCA’s technical manuals, forms, duct sizing slide rule, North American Heating, Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Wholesalers Association (NHRAW) Home Study course, psychometric charts, and more.

For more information, contact Victoria James, ACCA’s education coordinator, at 703-824-8854 or victoria@ms.acca.org (e-mail).
