ACCA Launches Corporate Partner Program

ARLINGTON, Va. - The Air Conditioning Contractors of America (ACCA) announced a new Corporate Partner program for 2010. According to the association, this program enables HVACR industry suppliers and manufacturers to demonstrate extraordinary commitment to ACCA and its members through year-round support of the association’s activities. Corporate Partners are not just sponsoring a conference or event. Instead, they provide significant financial resources that help ACCA expand advocacy and business development activities for contractors throughout the year.

The first Corporate Partners for 2010 include: Carrier, Emerson Climate Technologies, Federated Insurance, Goodman Manufacturing, Jackson Systems, Lennox, Mitsubishi, Rheem Manufacturing, WaterFurnace, North American Technician Excellence, and The NEWS.

“I am very proud that other segments of the HVACR industry have recognized the real value that ACCA brings to us all,” said Stan Johnson, ACCA 2009-2010 chairman and president of Stan’s Air Conditioning in Texas. “Our Corporate Partners are companies that understand and recognize just how important and vital contractors are to the entire HVACR chain. These companies are not just saying the right things - they’re doing the right thing, and showing their support in a very tangible way.”

According to Paul Stalknecht, president and CEO of ACCA, the fact that these companies chose to substantially increase their investment in the association is a testament to the vitality of ACCA’s membership and the importance of its mission.

“ACCA is an organization of, by, and for contractors,” said Stalknecht. “Our development of technical and design standards, promotion of quality installation and maintenance, advancement of sound business management practices, and aggressive government advocacy are all focused like a laser beam on building stronger contracting businesses in every community.”

Stalknecht continued, “Several suppliers approached us in 2009 and told us they believed so strongly in ACCA, and the need for a professional contracting association, and the outstanding body of work ACCA performs for the HVACR industry, that they wanted to increase their year-round support. That’s when the Corporate Partner program was born.”
