WASHINGTON, DC — Roger Jask, executive vice president and ceo of the Air Conditioning Contractors of America (ACCA), has announced plans to leave his position effective Dec. 31 to pursue opportunities as an entrepreneur.

Anthony Shaker, ACCA president, said, “Roger has worked for ACCA’s growth in numerous areas and I wish to recognize his accomplishments and contributions. I know the hvacr industry and ACCA members will join me in wishing Roger all the best in the future.”

Jask has served in his post for three years, and was instrumental in developing ACCA’s partnership with the North American Technician Excellence (NATE) program to deliver technician certification, as well as enhancing the association’s involvement in e-commerce.

A committee of the ACCA board will work closely with a professional search firm in selecting ACCA’s new leader. The committee is being chaired by Larry Taylor and includes Jim Hussey, John Saucier, Skip Snyder, and Tony Shaker. Taylor said that the association hopes to name a new executive vice president in the first months of the new year. During the interim, ACCA senior staff vice president Michael Honeycutt will serve as acting executive vice president.
