ACCA Announces 2005 ‘Best Contractors On The Web'

ARLINGTON, Va. - The Air Conditioning Contractors of America (ACCA) has announced the winners of its third annual "Best Contractors on the Web" Internet Marketing Awards.

"The caliber of entries was outstanding," commented Kevin Holland, ACCA vice president for Communications, Membership & Corporate Development. "It was difficult to choose the finalists, let alone the winners."

The winner of the 2005 ACCA "Best Contractors on the Web" in the Residential Category is AAA Indoor Air Quality, Portland, Ore. The Web site, www.aaaiaq.com, was chosen for its visual appeal and ease of navigation. Photos on the home page allow visitors to identify the company's services and accompanying links send them to the right information quickly and easily. They can also schedule appointments online.

The winner in the Commercial Category is Performance Building Services, Denver. Its site, www.pbservices.net, was described as professional, confident, and strong, clearly meeting the company's goal of promoting its reputation, experience, staff, and core business values to potential commercial clients rather than products. The site has also proven to be an invaluable employee recruiting tool.

"It was gratifying to see so many outstanding entries," said Paul T. Stalknect, ACCA president and CEO. "HVACR contractors are taking e-commerce seriously and doing a fine job of presenting themselves on the Web. The winners are the best of the best, but we heartily congratulate all the finalists."

Other finalists were:

  • Residential Category: Doctor Cool & Professor Heat, League City, Texas, www.doctorcool.com; Peaden Air Conditioning, Panama City, Fla., www.peaden.com.

  • Commercial Category: Midstate Mechanical, Phoenix, www.midstatemechanical.com.

    Publication date: 06/20/2005
