'Motor Decisions Matter' Adds Sponsors

BOSTON — A.O. Smith Electrical Products Co., Siemens Energy & Automation, and TECO-Westinghouse Motor Co. recently became sponsors of the Motor Decisions Matter (MDM) campaign, a national effort promoting NEMA Premium™ motors and motor management.

A.O. Smith Electrical Products, Tipp City, Ohio, manufactures fractional-horsepower AC and DC, hermetic, and integral-horsepower electric motors used in an array of consumer, commercial, and industrial products.

Siemens Energy & Automation, Inc., Alpharetta, Ga., manufactures and markets electrical and electronic products, systems, and services to industrial and construction market customers. Its technologies range from circuit protection and energy management systems to process control, industrial software, and integrated automation solutions.

TECO-Westinghouse Motor Co. (TWMC), Round Rock, Texas, manufactures electric motors and generators ranging from 1/4 to 100,000 hp. The company’s products are used to drive pumps, fans, compressors, and a variety of other applications. TECO-Westinghouse Motor serves the petrochemical, electric utility, pulp and paper, water, mining, and metals industries.
