Aireco Teams with Homes for Our Troops
LAUREL, Md. — Aireco Supply Inc. donated a complete Frigidaire high-efficiency, Energy Star-rated HVAC system accompanied by an Arzel Zoning System to help in the construction of a specially adapted home for Staff Sgt. Kelly Keck in Havre de Grace, Md. Keck, an Army medic, lost his right leg and suffered severe hand injuries after he stepped on an anti-personnel mine while assisting the injured in Afghanistan on Sept. 13, 2008.
“A Homes for Our Troops specially adapted home will greatly reduce the challenges and extra effort that I now need to get in and out of my home and to get around indoors, as homes are typically not made for the injured and handicapped,” Keck said.
The build brigade for Keck kicked off with hundreds of volunteers waving American flags and welcoming him to the build site of his new home.
