BALTIMORE — Baltimore Aircoil Co. (BAC) announced that Michael Swiderski has been promoted to the position of president. Swiderski has been with the Amsted family of companies since 1980 holding a number of manufacturing and executive leadership positions with Griffin Wheel and Burgess-Norton as well as serving as president of Diamond Chain from 2006 to 2010. His most recent assignment was managing director - BAC Europe.

Upon taking his new position as president, Swiderski said, “I am looking forward to carrying out the vision and advancing the global corporate strategy of BAC by continuing to provide the highest quality products through an ultimate customer experience.”

Swiderski succeeds Steve Duerwachter, president since July 1, 2000, who announced his retirement. Under Duerwachter’s leadership, BAC said its market and financial performance significantly improved, and the company continued to develop as a global enterprise.
