BUFFALO GROVE, Ill. — Siemens Building Technologies Inc. appointed Christoph Vogel to lead the company’s Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning Products (HVP) Business Unit. As vice president and unit head, Vogel will be responsible for the day-to-day operations, as well as the financial and competitive success.

A veteran Siemens hand, Vogel brings to his new post 11 years of international Siemens customer relationship management, operations, and mergers and acquisitions experience. Most recently, he served three years as vice president of Strategic Planning for Siemens Corp. U.S.A., preceded by eight years of increasingly responsible positions with Siemens AG’s Management Consulting (SMC) group in New York, as well as three years in Munich, Germany. During his tenure at SMC, Vogel worked directly with Siemens Building Technologies, both at its U.S. headquarters near Chicago and its global operations in Zug, Switzerland. Just prior to his appointment, Vogel spent a year as a principal with the Boston Consulting Group in the firm’s Industrial Goods and Operations practices with a focus on supply chain optimization.
