WOOD DALE, Ill. — Due to new multi split and VRF testing, Sanyo Commercial Solutions, a division of Sanyo North America Corp., now has three additional models that are Energy Star® qualified. The newly qualified models are the CM1972, CLM1972, and CMH1972. According to the company, equipment that meets these standards allows homeowners and building owners to take federal tax credit for having high-efficiency equipment installed.

Achieving Energy Star Tier 2 qualification requires that a model be rated with specifications of at least: 15 SEER, 12.5 EER, and 8.5 HSPF for heat pump models. In addition, Sanyo HVAC already has four models that have met Energy Star qualifications, including the 09KS71, 09KLS71, 18KS72, and 18KLS72.

The company has also been accepted as an Energy Star partner.

“Products that earn the Energy Star rating use less energy and prevent greenhouse gas emissions by meeting strict energy efficiency guidelines set by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and the Department of Energy,” said the company.

“With energy costs and global warming top-of-mind for consumers, Sanyo is committed to offering solutions that help consumers conserve energy and improve the quality of our environment.”
