New York Funds Clean Energy Projects
Several other awarded projects will make use of a flywheel energy storage system, biomass- and biogas-fueled engines, microturbines, a hydropower system, and a tidal power system. The first phase of the Chautauqua Institution project involves installing a microturbine. The exhaust heat from the microturbine will be used to heat and cool several buildings on campus.
