I wanted to comment on Butch Welsch’s article [“My Two Cents: Make Your Business Stronger During the Tough Times”] in the Oct. 13 issue of
The NEWS. Coming from an entrepreneur family who owns two different businesses, your article really hit home. There is nothing harder than sitting across from someone who has put forth great effort for the good of a family-owned business, and have to let them go. It is a very humbling experience.
There are many people and companies that do not have the foresight to understand that “in these times we need to worry more about the fundamental survivability of our business than we do the model number of an expansion valve we need to install.” This crosses into many, if not all, different business ventures. Great article!
