BRAMPTON, Ontario — Rheem Canada has consolidated the operations of its three business units — Heating and Cooling, Water Heating, and Swimming Pool Heaters and Boilers marketed under the Rheem, Ruud, Raypak and WeatherKing labels — into a single headquarters and distribution center in Brampton, Ontario, a Toronto suburb. The company said the relocation to the new 220,000-square-foot, two-story facility is designed to provide operational efficiency and drive higher levels of customer service.

With over 60 employees, Rheem Canada is now responsible for all operations and distribution under the leadership of Dave McPherson, general manager. In addition, the restructuring will set the stage for an enlargement of the HVAC unit, according to Paul Gharghoury, Rheem Canada market manager. “The HVAC expansion opportunity enables Rheem Canada to hire new employees and help stimulate the local job market,” he said.

The creation of more streamlined business operations will enable Rheem Canada to better leverage all three product lines, accelerating order processing and fulfillment, resulting in “even greater reliability than ever before,” Gharghoury stated. “By moving all of our business units under one roof, Rheem customers truly enjoy the unique benefit that only Rheem can provide as the sole manufacturer of heating, cooling, water heating, pool heating, and boiler products.

“Rheem Canada brings to customers a highly professional, time-saving, single-source supplier of a broad portfolio of nationally recognized brands, high-quality products, parts, and support services,” he continued. “Now, one well-stocked, highly efficient distribution center meets every need with the full suite of Rheem comfort products for Canada’s homes and businesses.”

In addition to having more space for office and warehousing operations, the new building will also feature a 10,000-square-foot training facility. The facility will include a 60-person training room, a showroom to display current products, and an engineering lab for hands-on product training and testing.

The building, which is currently being processed for Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED®) certification, will soon become one of the largest registered commercial buildings in Canada to be LEED-certified.
