COLUMBUS, Ohio — Emerson Network Power has announced the opening of its Learning Center in Westerville, Ohio. The nearly 70,000-square-foot facility will be used to provide hands-on data center infrastructure support training for Emerson Network Power employees, customers, and partners.

“This new building will be used to educate our field technicians, customers, and partners worldwide on the latest technical innovations, operations, and maintenance techniques for our industry-leading, mission-critical Liebert power and cooling equipment,” said Frank Bibens, president of Emerson Network Power’s Liebert services business. “This is an ideal learning environment where knowledge sharing, innovation, and technology advancement are embraced.”

A main feature of the facility is an 11,000-square-foot equipment lab, which houses Emerson Network Power equipment. The company said that, through design innovation, the equipment lab runs at a 75 percent reduction in power consumption, which is achievable because the Learning Center is a teaching facility that is not supporting critical systems. Besides the equipment lab and classrooms, the building includes the Customer Resolution Center, a state-of-the-art call center which enables the Liebert services business to provide service support, critical facility information, and customer solutions.

The building, which includes a number of environmentally-friendly construction and design elements, is expected to achieve Gold-level Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certification.
