Organizers
say WorldSkills is the largest competition of its kind, with an estimated 1,000
contestants ages 11 to 19 from around the world showing off their talents.
While that was better than July’s 4.9 percent
growth rate, a six-month decline in the annual North American distributor
growth rate is continuing, HARDI said.
That’s the prediction from the newest Air
Conditioning Contractors of America’s Contractor Comfort Index. The September
index number is 51, down two points from August.
The conference, sponsored by the U.S. Green Building
Council, runs Tuesday through Friday at Toronto's main convention center. More
than 25,000 are expected to attend.
