ACCA index predicts steady work
HVAC contractors are expecting business to hold steady as they head into
fall.
That’s the prediction from the newest Air Conditioning Contractors of America’s Contractor Comfort Index. The September index number is 51, down two points from August.
The index is based on a survey of ACCA members who are asked what they feel about current business conditions and those of the near future. A number above 50 indicates contractors feel more positive about the economy.
September’s results are down from year-ago levels, when the CCI was 57.
The next index will be released near the end of October.
