The floods that hit Iowa in June 2008 are sometimes called “Iowa’s Katrina.” While they didn’t have the loss of life that accompanied that Category 5 hurricane which struck New Orleans and the Gulf Coast in 2005, Iowa’s flooding still caused an estimated $64 billion in damage.
The
milestone project is the Anahuac National Wildlife Refuge in Texas, which learned
a gold rating under the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design program.
Officials with the association say the law, which mandates
individuals carry and most employers provide heath care insurance to employees,
is failing to control heath care costs while it increases taxes.
