The unit, available with seasonal energy-efficiency ratings ranging from 14 to 16, qualities for many rebates and incentives that will save homeowners money on their utility bills, officials say.
This will be the third version of the National Association of Home Builders’ environmental building guidelines and the first time the American Society of Heating, Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning Engineers will take part in its development.
The conference is to include green HVAC discussions, and speakers from a dozen countries including architects and engineers on HVAC construction topics.
The award, which is sponsored by Federated Insurance, recognizes HVAC market members in three size categories that have made substantial commitments to safe operations.
